Description
The giant in this pic is my Oc Kestra(dragon version). The girl with light hair is Finnie Kingsleigh, 's Oc. The little one on Kestra's head is Eden Benedict(short-haired but she's a girl), another Oc of mine.
------------------
Due to the previous dragon king's fierce nature, the current king, Kestra( [link] ) is often targeted and hunted, by humans, despite the fact he is just an observer. After realizing he can no longer live among humans, Kestra decided to hang his dragon shrine in the middle of the sky, hidden in the clouds where no humans can touch him. Kestra is a fire type dragon, thus he filled his shrine with water to prevent his power from getting out of control, also to hide his presence.
As time passes, dragons becomes rarer, and most humans seem to forget they really exist. However, there are those who still continue to hunt down dragons, and their utmost priority is to locate and kill the king.
Originally, the dragon shrine was surround by a barrier, which was the reason why Kestra could isolate himself for so long.
Yet, he didn't expect his peaceful days to be disturbed by a curious god, the god of wind. The god later became Kestra's friend, but his constant visits to the shrine has weakened the barrier...
------------------
The dragon hunters, often called heroes among those who still acknowledge dragons' existence, have finally found out the king's location. They decided to send two of the most powerful hunters, the Kingsleigh's knight and the Benedict's mage, to take down the dragon.
But both hunters weren't able to kill, and couldn't bring themselves to fight Kestra. They were deemed as traitors, "fallen heroes".
------------------
Further note: after this incident, Kestra changed his shrine's location, the two fallen heroes have to hide themselves from other hunters, and continue to live quietly. They often come by the dragon shrine whenever they feel like picking up on Kestra.
Dragons can't actually talk, all they can do is roar and groan. They communicate with each other and with other species via mind voice.
